What happens after you die? Realistically. Death and de-clutter.

I’ve been having these thoughts about death lately; by mistake. Most of us tend to avoid this subject, and it’s pretty clear why, but still, it’s inevitably going to happen some day. The thing that bothers me and makes me sooooo very unready to die is that I know what will happen after.

Surely ( unless I’m in some mysterious place where nobody can find me) my body will be retrieved from somewhere and then buried; actually I prefer cremation… I think. The next thing that will happen is that my dear ones will cry and suffer, then other people will find out about the ” tragedy “ and will scroll nostalgically ( or not ) through my social media posts, where I will still be alive for a bit longer. This scares the shit out of me because, you see, your death is not about YOU anymore. Is about everything and everyone else.

I sat and thought: “ you never really know when this is going to happen, so are you ready for it? Apart from all the deep personal issues you’d rather be in peace and harmony with when the moment comes, are you ready for the others to “ digest” your sudden irreversible absence? Are you able to make it easier for them somehow? “
